Where It All Began
While many people discover my work through my contemporary impressionist nature paintings, my journey as a commissioned artist began more than forty years ago.
In 1983, I had the privilege of working with the late Rhode Island artist William C. Perry, creating large-scale commissioned artwork for city officials, distinguished restaurants, the U.S. Secret Service, and public spaces. Those early years taught me that a successful commission begins long before the first brushstroke. It starts by listening, understanding a client's vision, and creating artwork that truly belongs in the space it was designed for.
Today, those same principles continue to guide every painting I create. Whether I'm painting a peaceful floral landscape, an atmospheric waterscape, or a meaningful custom commission, my goal is always the same—to create original artwork that brings beauty, peace, and a lasting sense of connection to the spaces people cherish most.
