Artistic Style & Inspiration

Renee's work is rooted in a deep love for nature and the belief that beauty has the power to restore, uplift, and bring peace into the spaces where we live. Inspired by the changing seasons around her lakeside home, she creates contemporary impressionist nature paintings that celebrate the quiet beauty of gardens, water, birds, flowers, and the gentle atmosphere where light seems to linger.

Working primarily in mixed media and oil, Renee builds each painting through expressive layers, luminous color, and subtle textures that invite viewers to slow down and experience a sense of reflection and wonder. Rather than simply capturing a place, her goal is to paint how it feels—to create artwork that transforms a room into an atmosphere of peace, grace, and renewal.

Whether creating an original collection or a custom commission, Renee believes every painting should become more than a beautiful object. It should tell a meaningful story, create an emotional connection, and become a lasting part of the spaces where people gather, reflect, and feel at home.

This commissioned painting was created in partnership with the Rotary Club to support humanitarian fundraising efforts. The emotional portrayal of a Native American singer, surrounded by luminous lake waters, reflects my belief that art can inspire connection and compassion.
